MR. WEISER RITES TUESDAY

Robert M. Weiser, 60, of 1404 West St., Grinnell, died Friday morning at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines.

Services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Smith Funeral Home, with the Rev. Marcus Reitz of St. John's Lutheran Church officiating. Graveside rites will be conducted by members of the Grinnell Veterans Ceremonial Unit, with burial at Hazelwood Cemetery.

Memorials in Mr. Weiser's name may be made to the Bremwood Children's Home at Waverly and may be left at the funeral home.

The son of John V. and LaVerna Spohn Weiser, he was born Sept. 10, 1919, in Newton. He graduated from Grinnell High School in 1938. He entered the U.S. Army Air Corps in 1942 and served in the Pacific theater during World War II.

Mr. Weiser was married to Jeanie M. Holmes on April 19, 1941, at Trenton, Mo. He was graduated from Grinnell College in 1950 and had been employed by Miracle Recreation Equipment Co. since 1957. He was a member of the local Elks Lodge and the American Legion.

Survivors include his wife, Jeanie; three sons, Lt. James H. Weiser of the U.S. Air Force in the Philippines, R. Scott Weiser of Des Moines, and John D. Weiser of Grinnell; one granddaughter; two step-grandsons; and two brothers, Donald Weiser of Newton and Richard Weiser of Lawndale, Calif.
