DIES IN CEDAR RAPIDSServices for William H. Cochran were conducted Saturday afternoon in the Janeba-Kuba Funeral Home at Cedar Rapids by the Rev. Allen S. Van Cleve of Central Park Presbyterian Church. Burial was in Linwood Cemetery.
Mr. Cochran, 80, died Wednesday, April 17, after a long illness.
Born Nov. 19, 1887, in Deep River, he had been a Cedar Rapids resident since 1925. He was employed by Wilson and Co. 30 years until his retirement. He was married in Cedar Rapids April 1, 1934.
He was a member of the Central Park Presbyterian church, Cedar Rapids Aerie No. 2272 Fraternal Order of Eagles, the Retired Men's group of Wilson and Co., and the UPWA.
Surviving are his wife, three sons, Keith W. of Pacific Palisades, Calif.; Kenneth L. of Playa Del Rey, Calif.; and Jack D. of Santa Ana, Calif.; two stepsons, Edward A. O'Neal, Hiawatha, and Scott E. O'Neal of Clinton, Md.; 18 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; three sisters, Grace and Edna Cochran, both of Inglewood, Calif., and Mary Lash of Cedar Rapids, and four brothers, Lee of Allerton, George of Geneseo, Ill., Fred of Montezuma and Sam of Hutchinson, Kan.
