MRS. MYRA COX

Mrs. Myra Cox, wife of Royce N. Cox of Grinnell and formerly of Des Moines, died at a local hospital Saturday evening after a lengthy illness.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the McLaren funeral home in West Des Moines. Burial will be at Atlantic.

She was born Sept. 14, 1877, at Delta, Ohio, and moved to Marysville, Mo., when she was six years old. Her parents died when she was a young girl. She received her education in the Marysville public schools and later moved to Council Bluffs.

On June 6, 1906, she was united in marriage with Royce N. Cox, and to this union three sons were born: Francis D. Cox of Grinnell, Ralph Cox, Springfield, Ill., and Royce Cox, Jr., Lewiston, Idaho.

In addition to her three sons, she is survived by her husband; six grandchildren; one great grandchild; and one sister, Mabel Garrett of Burlingame, Calif. She was preceded in death by two brothers.

Mrs. Cox had lived with her husband in Des Moines and West Des Moines several years before moving to Grinnell in April of 1962. She had been in poor health for the last two years.
