MRS. MARY ANN RYAN.

Mrs. Mary Ann Ryan passed away in Des Moines Monday, December 8th, at the age of 86 years at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Marion Hulbert. Death was due to a paralytic stroke on last Wednesday which paralyzed her throat, side and back. Mrs. Ryan had lived in Grinnell for a number of years and is the mother of Mrs. Chas. Pugh of this city. Mr. and Mrs. Pugh received word of her serious illness Sunday and went to Des Moines that evening and were with her when the end came. Mrs. Kate MacDonald, another daughter, of Seattle, Washington, came a short time to take her mother to California for her health. The body was accompanied to Grinnell by Mr. and Mrs. Pugh, Mrs. Will Craig and Mrs. Kate MacDonald. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. W.C. Wasser at the Chas. Pugh home yesterday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock. Interment was in Hazelwood.
