BETTE JUNE GRELL

Bette June Grell, 63, of Fort Morgan, Colo., died Thursday, June 28, at her home.

Funeral services were conducted July 7 at St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church in Holstein, Iowa, with the Rev. Marilyn Hanson officiating. Burial was in Cushing Cemetery.

The daughter of Herbert and Florence Gehrts, she was born Feb. 2, 1927, in Danbury. She was a graduate of Cushing High School, then attended a summer school teaching program at Westmar College in LeMars. She served as a teacher for two years.

She was married to Reynold Grell Feb. 12, 1947, in Cushing.

Mrs. Grell was a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Fort Morgan. She also was a member of the Hobby Club, AARP, Newcomer's Club and a bridge club.

Surviving are her mother; four daughters, Elaine Stevenson of Quimby, Iowa, Pamela Pierce of Madison, Wis., Patricia Martens of Climbing Hill, Iowa, and Debra Sears of Grinnell; one son, Michael of Columbus, Neb.; 16 grandchildren; two sisters, Geraldine Bruning of Holstein and Kathy Bicking of Emporia, Va.; and a brother, Ron Gehrts of Shellville, Ga.
