HELD RITES FOR MRS. BECKMAN (BUCKMAN)

Ruby M. Beckman (Buckman) of Boulder, Colo., a former resident of Grinnell, died Tuesday, *Aug. 19, at her home. She was 88.

Graveside services were at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 21, at Mountain View Memorial Park, with the Rev. Bruce MacKenzie of the First Congregational Church officiating.

She was born Aug. 3, 1891, in Iroquois, S.D., the daughter of Edward and Kate Ehrlich Russell. She married Paul Buckman in Elkader on Oct. 30, 1912.

Her family lived in Grinnell in 1933 when her daughter, Lorraine, was a sophomore at Grinnell College.

Survivors include her daughter, Lorraine Buckman, of Colorado Springs. Her husband preceded her in death in 1954.
