FUNERAL SERVICESFuneral services were held on Tuesday at the Steffy Funeral Home for Thomas D. Gorsuch. They were conducted by Rev. G.R. Dieken. Louis Gorsuch played funeral selections. The members of the American Legion and Lafayette lodge A.F. and A.M. attended in a body. The pallbearers were Forest Horsford, Milo Phillips, Blair Brooks, Ned Alexander, Marcus Shearer, Dick Bowers. Burial was in the Masonic-I.O.O.F. cemetery.
Thomas Daniel was born on January 1, 1909, in Montezuma, the son of John B. and Blanche Gorsuch and passed away June 10 at the age of 52 years and five months. He received his education in the Montezuma schools and the greater part of his adult life was spent in engineering and construction. He was with the Highway Commission for awhile. He served in the Navy's 51st Sea Bees during World War II and received a medical discharge at Shoemaker, California Naval hospital in September, 1944. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister. Surviving is an uncle, Clay Gorsuch of New Sharon, several cousins and many friends.
