SERVICES HELDHelen A. Warwick, 79, of Grinnell died Thursday, Oct. 27, at St. Francis Manor.
Funeral services were conducted at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the Watts Funeral Home in Montezuma, with the Rev. Cloyd Bishop of the United Church of Deep River officiating. Organist was Verla Van Dee, and pallbearers were Randy Fowler, Daniel Kubik, Rick Beasley, Steve Fowler, Mark Kubik and Matt Posusta.
Burial was in Barnes City Cemetery.
The daughter of Emil and Anna Johannes Ketels, she was born Oct. 17, 1909. She was married to William Breauneau Warwick on June 18, 1927, and the couple farmed in the Barnes City, Deep River and Montezuma areas before moving to a farm near Grinnell in 1961. They moved into Grinnell in 1983.
Mrs. Warwick is survived by two daughters, Charlene Ann Kubik of Marshalltown and Martha M. Fowler of Grinnell; two sons, Gale of Wadesboro, N.C., and William of Deep River; 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Ida Ferguson of Barnes City.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two brothers, William and John Ketels; and one sister, Gertrude Herrmann.
