JOYCE D. BERNARD

Joyce D. Bernard, 69, died on Thursday, Nov. 22, 2007. A graduate of Montezuma High School Class of 1956, she was born in Marshalltown on May 5, 1938. She was raised in and around Montezuma and raised by her family in Scottsdale, Ariz. She was preceded in death by her husband, John R. Bernard, her son, Kirk A. Bernard, and her parents, Clayton and Eldora Huffman Dee. She will be remembered by her daughters Kristi Kisler and Kara Shaw of Payson, Ariz.; sons, Keith and Kyle Bernard of Scottsdale, Ariz.; sisters Karol Toschlog of Montezuma and Karen Simses of Milford, Ct.; brother and sister-in-law Bill and Polly Bernard of Montezuma; son-in-law Jeff Shaw; and grandsons Bradley Kisler and Jake and Josh Shaw.
