HELD AT BROOKLYN

Funeral services were conducted Thursday afternoon, January 2, at Bramer Funeral Home, Brooklyn, for Annie B. Johnson, who died Dec. 30 at Grinnell General hospital. The Rev. E. Edward Philgreen, pastor of Grace United Methodist church, was in charge. Mrs. Ed Bartachek was organist.

Interment was in Brooklyn I.O.O.F. cemetery. Casket-bearers were Harvey Jones, Frank Herbrandt, Dean Lippincott, Dwayne Reed, Richard Williams and Irvin Nervig. Mr. and Mrs. Max Montgomery were flower attendants.

The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Lytle, Annie B. Johnson was born in Hamilton-Bawn, County Armaugh, Ireland, Aug. 31, 1886. After her father's death, she came to America with her mother and sisters and made her home in Chicago. She was ten years old at the time.

Sept. 19, 1907, she was married to Nels Johnson in Milwaukee, Wisc. In 1908 they moved to the Brooklyn area where they farmed until their retirement in 1951 when they moved to Brooklyn.

Mrs. Johnson was a member of Grace United Methodist church of Brooklyn.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Charles (Violet) Jones of Brooklyn, and a son, Thomas Johnson of Brooklyn; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, one grandson and one brother.
