FUNERAL SERVICES
HERE TUESDAY

Mrs. Martha E. Schwab, 77, wife of Martin Schwab of Grinnell, died Friday afternoon at an Iowa City hospital, following injuries received in a fall at her home May 16th.

Requiem high mass will be held at 9 a.m. Tuesday, June 5th, at St. Mary's Catholic church. Rosary will be recited tonight (Monday) at 7:30 at the Smith Funeral Home.

Officiating will be the Rev. David E. Goetsch, chaplain of St. Francis hospital. Pallbearers will be John Hotchkin, Joe Hotchkin, Pierce Comerford, Kent Wise, Don Vance, and Bernard Schmitz.

She was the daughter of John and Martha Hotchkin Kelly, and was born April 28th, 1885, on the family farm south of Grinnell. She attended the rural schools near her home and later was united in marriage with Martin Schwab at St. Columbanus Catholic church in Grinnell.

After their marriage, Mr. and Mrs. Schwab lived in Des Moines until 1921 when they moved to Grinnell. In 1944 they moved to Rochester, Minn., and later moved to Riceville in Iowa, and LaSalle, Ill. In 1959 they returned to Grinnell to make their home.

Mrs. Schwab was a member of St. Mary's Catholic church and the Altar and Rosary Society.

She is survived by her husband, Martin; one brother, Charles Kelly of Grinnell; and one sister, Mrs. William (Lucy) Cavanaugh of Montezuma.

Preceding her in death were two brothers, George and John Kelly; and one sister, Mrs. Charles Plum; and her parents.
