MRS. MARTHA ANN KELLY

Mrs. Martha Ann Kelly, after prolonged illness and much suffering, died at her home early Saturday morning. She had been seriously ill for many months and it has been known for some time that her recovery was very doubtful. She has been under the care of doctors and has had the best of care, all without result.

Mrs. Kelly was born in New York City April 4, 1856, and died at the age of 64 years, 11 months and 15 days. Her parents' name were Hoskins (Hotchkin), her father being English and her mother Irish in descent. With her parents she came to this vicinity and after her marriage lived on a farm until Mr. Kelly removed to Grinnell some years ago.

She is survived by her husband, John Kelly, and five children, George and Charles and Mrs. Will Cavanaugh all of this city, Mrs. C.W. Plum of Newton and Mrs. Martin Schwab living near here.

Funeral services were held at the Catholic church at 10 o'clock yesterday morning, the Rev. M.J. Hannon officiating. Sam Mitchell, T.T. Cranny, Owen Flanagan, Ed Comerford, Alex Devereux and James Cavanaugh were all pall-bearers.
