FORMER GRINNELLIAN
DIES AT LOS ALAMITOS,
CALIFORNIA, RECENTLY

George Morris Kelly, a longtime resident of Grinnell and a graduate of high school has died at the age of 50 in California.

Kelly will be remembered by many for his outstanding performances in sports while at Grinnell high school. He died as a result of heart surgery at the Memorial Hospital in Long Beach, Calif. He had had previous surgery to correct a heart defect which was unsuccessful and this second attempt to correct the condition proved fatal.

He is survived by his widow and four children. Also surviving is a sister. Funeral arrangements are being made at the Lawe Mortuary in Long Beach with services and interment at St. Hedwig church in Los Alamitos, Calif. He had resided in Los Alamitos for some years and was an employee of the Lockheed Aircraft Corporation.
