HAZEL R. CLARK
DIES IN INDIANA

Mrs. James (Hazel) Clark, 62, Syracuse, Ind., former Grinnell resident, died Friday afternoon at a Goshen, Ind., hospital after an illness of about one year.

Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at Syracuse and the body was brought to Grinnell today (Monday). Graveside services were held this afternoon at Hazelwood cemetery with Dr. G.S. Bruland of the Methodist church officiating. Smith Funeral Home was in charge. Pallbearers were Rhee Auman, Eldon Olds, Cliff Streck, Howard Sage, Raymond Norris and John Peterson.

She was the daughter of Harry and Ada Allen Ritter and was born on July 11th, 1898 in Searsboro. She received her education from the Searsboro and Grinnell public schools and graduated from Grinnell high school with the class of 1913 [or 1918?]. For a time she was employed as a stenographer with the Grinnell Washing Machine Co.

United in marriage with Clem Lisor at Grinnell, they the parents of one son, Clem Lisor, Jr., now of Syracuse, Ind. The family lived in Des Moines and later moved to Goshen where Mr. Lisor was associated with the Penn Switch Co. In August of 1954, her husband preceded her in death.

She had made her home in Syracuse the past 10 years and in 1956 was married to James Clark in Chicago, Ill. She was a member of the Methodist church, the Order of Eastern Star, and the White Shrine.

Mrs. Clark is survived by her husband; her son, Clem Lisor, Jr.; a grandson, Clem Lisor, III; her mother, Mrs. Harry Ritter Sr.; three brothers, Frank, Harry, Jr., and Francis (Bill), all of Grinnell and three sisters. Mrs. Ruth Smith of San Francisco, Calif., Mrs. Ivan (Alliene) Sieberling and Mrs. Vera Rainier, both of Los Angeles, Calif. She was also preceded in death by her father, Harry Ritter, Sr.
