BRYCE JOHNSON SERVICES TODAY

Bryce C. Johnson, 18, of 1805 Manor Dr., Grinnell, died Monday afternoon of injuries he received in automobile accident southwest of Grinnell.

Funeral services were conducted at 10:30 a.m. today at the Smith Funeral Home, with the Rev. Philip J. Ramstad, pastor of the United Church of Christ-Congregational, officiating. Organist was Alice Renaud. Pallbearers were Henry McDonald, Mark Shadden, Kevin Shannon, John H. Taylor, Mike Wagenknecht and Scott Wagenknecht. Burial was at the Collins Cemetery, Collins.

Should friends desire, memorials may be made to the Bryce C. Johnson Memorial Fund and left at the Smith Funeral Home.

The son of John G. and Ruth Nadine Heggen Johnson, he was born Feb. 28, 1964, Plainsfield, N.J. He received his early education in New Jersey, Texas and Des Moines, and for the past three years attended Grinnell High School. He had graduated Sunday afternoon, May 16.

While In high school, he was active in the Drama Club and was recently a member of the cast of "Story Theatre," presented this spring.

Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Nadine and John Runyan of Grinnell; his father, John G. Johnson of San Antonio, Texas; five brothers and two sisters, Lynn Johnson of Eden Prairie, Minn., Sherry Todd of Austin, Texas, Douglas Johnson of San Antonio, Kent Johnson of San Antonio, Mark Johnson of Virginia Beach, Va., and Julie Johnson and his twin brother, Dirk Johnson at the family home in Grinnell; three step-brothers and three step-sisters.
