LONA DUFFUS

Lona Duffus died at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. W.H. Duffus on the Flook farm, three miles south of Grinnell, on Wednesday. Her death was due to organic troubles following an attack of appendicitis. The dead girl was widely known and generally beloved. She was a member of the junior class of the Grinnell high school and is sincerely mourned by her schoolmates. The members of the class have sent flowers to the Duffus home and the pallbearers for the funeral will be chosen from among their number.

The funeral will be held at 1 o'clock on Saturday afternoon from the Methodist Episcopal church and will be conducted by Rev. Elias Handy. From 12:15 to 1 o'clock the body will be placed in the church parlors where all who desire may take their last farewell of the dead.

Interment will be made in Malcom, where the dead girl was born on December 19, 1892.
