ELMER L. ROYCE

Funeral services for Elmer L. Royce, 83, were held at Bramer's Funeral Home in Brooklyn Dec. 2, in charge of the Rev. C.W. Woollard, pastor of Grace Methodist church. Leo Shuler was organist.

Interment was in Ivy Hill cemetery in Malcom with Earl Alertson, E.L. Montgomery, Maynard McLain, Wallace Edelen, Russ Otcheck and Paul Bacon serving as pallbearers.

Elmer L. Royce, son of Enoch and Mary Nutting Royce, was born July 20, 1878, near Malcom and died Nov. 30, 1961, at Grinnell. He attended the rural schools near his home and later moved to Grinnell with his parents where he lived for a number of years. In later years he lived in Davenport, returning to Grinnell in August, 1958.

He is survived by two nephews and two nieces, Harley H. Burch of Brooklyn, Ellsworth Burch of Davenport, Mrs. Winifred Sevenbergen of Grinnell, and Mrs. Ora Fuerst of Malcom. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Mrs. Ida Burch, who died in June of this year.
