DIES NOV. 1

Dean Kendall, 52, of Brooklyn died Wednesday, Nov. 1, at Grinnell General Hospital, following a lengthy illness.

Funeral services were conducted Nov. 3 at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Brooklyn.

The son of Neal Dow and Lillie Louvea Wright Kendall, he was born Oct. 3, 1926, at Confidence in Wayne County.

On June 25, 1951, he was married to Norma Jean Wilson of Russell. The couple had four daughters.

The family earlier lived near Russell where they farmed. Mr. Kendall also worked for Park's and Brunt Produce Co. of Russell and International Harvester Co. in Chariton. He began working for Grinnell Implement Store in Grinnell in 1965, and he continued working for the firm until August 1977 when he was forced to retire because of illness.

Survivors include his wife; his four daughters Marla Kay of Brooklyn, Rose Ellen, Beth Ann, and Juanita Louise all of Grinnell; two sisters, Juanita Miller of Russell and Geraldine Atkinson of Grinnell; and two brothers, Donald and Dayton, both of Albia. He was preceded in death by his parents.
