OLGA MITCHELL
RITES THURSDAY

Mrs. Olga J. Mitchell, 55, wife of Frank B. Mitchell of Rock Creek Lake passed away Monday evening at Iowa Methodist Hospital in Des Moines following an illness of the past four months.

She was the daughter of William A. and Flora A. Nichols Stout, and was born in Grinnell July 20, 1913. On Sept. 28, 1932, she was married to Frank B. Mitchell by the Rev. Thomas Hale at Lancaster, Mo. To the marriage were born three daughters and one son--Mrs. Fredric (Gelene) Jonasz of Arlington, Va., Mrs. Don (Jodie) Roese of Pomeroy, Ia., Mrs. C.F. (Janet) Murphy of Phoenix, Ariz., and James L. Mitchell of Minot, N. Dak.

Mr. and Mrs. Mitchell have made their home in Grinnell since their marriage and in the past years spent their summers at Lake Okoboji. The past three winters they lived at their home in Phoenix. Mr. Mitchell formerly owned and operated the Mitchell Motor Co. Mrs. Mitchell had been a past Noble Grand of the Rebekah Lodge and had been a member of the Soroptimist Club here.

She is survived by her husband Frank, her three daughters and one son, eight grandchildren, one brother and one sister--Mrs. Sy (Irene) Holland, Grinnell, and William A. Stout Jr., Des Moines.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Smith Funeral Home, with the Rev. Leo V. Kuebrich, pastor of St. Mary's Catholic church, officiating.

Burial will be in Hazelwood cemetery.
