LEE CRAWFORD
DIES AT HOME
THIS MORNING

Lee H. Crawford, 57, of 1122 Ann Street, passed away early this morning (Monday) at his home. He had been in failing health the last few weeks.

Funeral services for Crawford will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Smith Funeral Home, with the Rev. Wayne Shireman, pastor of the First Baptist church officiating. Burial will be in Hazelwood cemetery.

Crawford was born January 10, 1906, at Weippe, Idaho, the son of Edgar and Nevada Centers Crawford. The family moved to Missouri where he attended the local schools, and he was united in marriage with Velma Bolar at Unionville, Mo., Sept. 28, 1929. They lived in Missouri until 1938, when they moved to Grinnell.

Survivors include his wife, Velma, at the home; his mother, of Livonia, Mo.; two brothers and one sister, Wesley L. Crawford of Glenwood, Mo., Luther J. Crawford of Ottumwa, and Mrs. Clarence (Leona) Ross of Stockton, Calif.; and many relatives.

He was preceded in death by his father in 1953.

After the Crawfords moved to Iowa, he worked for the Maytag Company in Newton. He was a charter member of the Grinnell Eagles Lodge.
