CLARK CRAWFORD

Clark W. Crawford, 58, of Grinnell died Sunday, March 15.

Funeral services were conducted Wednesday at the Smith Funeral Home, with the Rev. Mark Pries of Peace Lutheran Church, Pella, officiating. Organist was Jim Severe. Pallbearers were members of the Offutt Air Force Base Honor Guard, who also conducted veterans ceremonial rites. Burial was in Hazelwood Cemetery.

The son of John P. and Mary Burrows Crawford, he was born Oct. 16, 1933, in Grinnell. He received his education in the Grinnell School District.

He was married to Molly Crabb Feb. 2, 1952, in Ipswich, England.

Mr. Crawford entered the U.S. Air Force in 1950 and served for 20 years, including duty in the Korean and Viet-Nam conflicts. After his retirement from the Air Force as a technical sergeant, he returned to Grinnell where he worked for over 20 years at Farmhand, Inc.

He was a member of the American Legion and the Retired Sergeants Association of the Air Force.

Surviving are his wife, Molly; his children, Stephanie Farmer of Durham, N.C., Neil of Montezuma, Ross of Pella, Michele Bruggeman of Brooklyn and Peter of Barksdale Air Force Base, La.; 12 grandchildren; two brothers, Don of Malcom and Phirman of Cleburne, Texas; and one sister, Esther Henning of Newton.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Richard Sr.
