MARTHA M. FOWLER

Martha M. Fowler, 62, of 1710 Reed St. Grinnell died of cancer, Saturday, Dec. 13, at Grinnell Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Smith Funeral Home, with the Rev. Tim Stewart, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Grinnell, officiating. Organist will be Kyle Szary and vocalist will be Milton Severe.

Casket bearers will be Vern Brooke, Jerry Carter, Dean Conn, Dick Mitchell, Loring Rohr and Denny Wilson. Honorary bearers will be Norris Bigbee, Howard Davis, Brian Hicks, Tom Hicks, Danny Kubik and Tracy Warwick.

Burial will be in Hazelwood Cemetery.

She was the daughter of William and Helen Kettles Warwick and was born July 20, 1935, in Barnes City. She attended school at Barnes City and graduated from Deep River High School in 1952.

She was married to George Fowler Oct. 28, 1952, in Montezuma. They lived in Texas before moving to Grinnell in 1954. Mrs. Fowler worked as a cook for the Grinnell-Newburg School District, retiring in 1983.

Surviving are her husband; two sons, Randy of Marshalltown and Steve of Monroe; five grandchildren; two brothers, Gale "Dick" Warwick of Wadeborough, N.C. and William "Bill" Warwick of Deep River; and one sister, Charlene "Ann" Kubik of Marshalltown.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Memorial contributions may be to Grinnell Regional Hospice or Grinnell Home Health Care.
