Dorothy L. Jones, 91, of Grinnell died of a stroke Tuesday, March 17, at Friendship Manor.

A graveside service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday at Hazelwood Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Those attending the service are being asked to meet at the Smith Funeral Home at 12:30 p.m. Saturday.

She was the daughter of Albert and Mary Jane Robertson Bicknell and was born July 21, 1906, in Grinnell. She was raised here and attended Grinnell schools. She also attended St. Joseph's Academy in Des Moines.

She was married to Harold W. Jones Jan. 15, 1923, in Newton. They lived in Grinnell where Mrs. Jones was a homemaker.

Surviving are one son, Harold of Grinnell; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and one sister, Gladys Benton of Lake Kiowa, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one brother, Scott Bicknell; and one daughter, Letha Lyons.
