IDA BICKNELL LAGRANGE

Ida Bicknell, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. S.R. Bicknell, was born at Newton, Ia., April 14, 1862, and died at her home in Rock Island, Ill., on March 19, 1910. She grew to womanhood near the vicinity of Newton, and on March 3, 1882, she was married to Mr. H.E. Stevens. To them were born two children, Lou Emma and James who died in infancy. She was married the second time at Grinnell on October 31, 1899, to Mr. A.C. LaGrange. Four years ago they moved to Rock Island where she lived until her death. She died after a period of long suffering and sickness. Thruout she maintained her sweet patience and faith shown with wonderful vividness. She leaves to mourn her departure her aged father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. S.R. Bicknell, of Kellogg, her husband, Mr. A.C. LaGrange, one daughter, Mrs. Lou Lanz of Laurel, Iowa, two brothers, Mr. Albert Bicknell, of Grinnell, and Mr. Scott Bicknell of Andover, S.D., and three sisters, Mrs. Mell Wilmont of Ashland, Wis., Mrs. Lora Hopkins of Sunnyside, Va., and Mrs. Edith Hughes of Grinnell, who was at her bedside when she passed away. The body was brought to Grinnell where the services were conducted by Miss Carrie Butler, and the body was laid to rest in our beautiful cemetery.
