MRS. BENJAMIN F. HUGHES

Eda June Bicknell was born April 14 1862, at Newton, Iowa, and died suddenly of heart failure in Newton, August 25, 1915. She lived in or near Newton until her marriage to Benjamin F. Hughes in September, 1890, since which time her home has been in Grinnell. She was the mother of four children, Benjamin F., Millie, Mabel and Charlotte. She also leaves to mourn her loss her aged parents, Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Randolph Bicknell, of Kellogg, to whom in their declining years she has given an unusual devotion. Two brothers and two sisters survive her: Scott Bicknell of Kellogg; Albert Bicknell, of Grinnell; Mrs. E.T. Hopkins, of Newton; and Mrs. Lawrence Willman, of Ashland, Wis.; her twin sister, Mrs. Ida May Lagrange, died five years ago, and her brother, John, about fourteen years ago. While she has not enjoyed robust health for some time, her sudden death was a surprise and shock to her family and friends. The funeral service was conducted at the family home Friday afternoon at 3:00 o'clock by the Rev. J.M. Brown; but the burial did not occur until Saturday afternoon, being postponed to await the arrival of Mrs. Willman, who missed connection at Minneapolis and could not reach here until Friday evening.

The family have the sympathy of many friends in their great loss.

CARD OF THANKS.

We desire to express our thanks to the friends and neighbors for the floral offerings and their thoughtful kindness to us in our bereavement.
B.F. Hughes and Family.
