EVERETT T. ANDERSON

Everett T. Anderson, 59, of Chandler, Ariz., a native of Grinnell, died Feb. 3.

Funeral services were conducted Feb. 8 at the Harrison Funeral Home in Tama, with the Rev. Dewey Grimes officiating. Pallbearers were Kenneth McAdoo, Harry See, John Osborn, Bob Kent, David Buckley and Fred Buckley.

Military rites were conducted by Enright-Schroeder Post No. 73, with burial in Oak Hill Cemetery, Tama.

A memorial has been established and contributions may be left at the funeral home.

He was the son of Clark and Aretha Shill Anderson and was born Oct. 17, 1920, in Grinnell. He attended Grinnell schools.

A veteran of the Korean conflict, Mr. Anderson was employed as a construction worker.

He was married to Carol Buckley Oct. 16, 1953, in Tama. The couple lived in Tama until moving to Chandler in 1987.

Surviving are his wife; four sons, Tom and Fred, both of Chandler, Jim of Livingston, Mont., and Gene of rural Tama; four daughters, Sandra Lacina of Chandler, Sheila Hart of Livingston, Tracy Anderson of Marshalltown and Brenda Anderson of Jessup; five brothers, Harold of Kellogg, Bob and Bill of Newton and Wilbur and Edgar of Grinnell; one sister, Lucille of Oskaloosa; and 19 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, one grandson and a sister.
