Keith L. Gregory, 96 of Grinnell died Tuesday, Aug. 26, at St. Francis Manor.
A funeral service will be held Friday, Aug. 29, at 10:30 a.m. at the United Methodist Church. Interment will be in Hazelwood Cemetery.
His family will be present one hour prior to the service. Friends may call at Smith Funeral Home from 12 noon to 5 p.m. Thursday.
Memorials may be directed to the United Methodist Church or Grinnell Regional Hospice.

Keith was born on July 11, 1912, in Woodston, Kansas to Ralph and Elsie Snyder Gregory. He was raised in Woodston and graduated from Woodston High School with the Class of 1930. On December 9, 1942, he entered the U.S. Army and served in the North African and Sicilian Campaigns. He was a Purple Heart recipient.
On June 1, 1937, he was married to Hazel Holtslander in Ogallah, Kansas and to this union was born one daughter, Karen Lynn. The family lived in various communities in Kansas and Nebraska before moving to Grinnell, Iowa in 1968. He owned and operated the Gambles Hardware Store in Grinnell until his retirement in 1974.
Keith was a member of the United Methodist Church, the Kiwanis Club and the VFW. He is Past Master of the Hermon Masonic Lodge in Grinnell, Past President of the Grinnell Chamber of Commerce and Past High Priest of the Royal Arch Masons.
He is survived by his wife, Hazel Gregory of Grinnell; one daughter, Karen (Randy) Thompson of Grundy Center; five grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; and one sister, Carolyn Perkins of Overland Park, KS. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Ada Silor and Marjory Haydon.
