OBITUARY
OF MRS. W.G. MYERS

Anna J. Conard, daughter of John Conard and his wife Marie nee Schaffer, was born at Sterling, Illinois on January 31, 1878. In early infancy she was brought to God in holy baptism and in early youth was instructed and confirmed in the Lutheran faith.

In 1904 she was united in marriage with W.G. Myers, and to this union one was born, Mrs. Lawrence Squires at 823 Prince street. For a number of years Mrs. Myers resided Chicago, Illinois before coming to Grinnell where she spent the rest of her life.

It was on Sunday, February 2, that she became seriously ill and was immediately taken to the Community hospital, but her condition did not improve and she passed away from this life on Monday morning, February 10, at 5 o'clock. She leaves to mourn her death, her husband, one daughter, one grand daughter, Sally Ann Squires, one sister Mrs. E. Graff of Chicago, Illinois, also three brothers John, Fred, and A. Conard of St. Joseph, Missouri, besides many relatives and friends. Mrs. Myers reached the age of 63 years and nine days.

Funeral services were conducted at the American Lutheran Church located at 1309 Elm St., with the Rev. Robert Niederwimmer in charge. Interment was made at the Ewart cemetery. Pallbearers were: Cecil Myers, Amos Myers, Earl Rivers, Bill Jones, Roy McGriff, and Ernest McGriff.
