Ivan Walker, 84, of Monrovia, Calif., formerly of Grinnell, died Wednesday, Dec. 21, at Temple City, Calif.
Funeral services were set for 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Smith Funeral Home, with the Rev. David Green, pastor of the Assembly of God Church, officiating. Organist will be Alice Renaud, and vocalist will be Brenda Green. Honorary bearers will be Hank Butler, Stephen Morrish, Clyde Sumpter, Andrew Davis, Raul Santana and Donald E. Walker Jr.
Burial will be in Barnes City Cemetery.
He was the son of Howard and Fay Marion Walker and was born June 18, 1910, in Pleasant Grove. He was married to Nellie May in Montezuma, and the couple lived in Grinnell where he worked for DeLong Sportswear for many years. In 1975, they moved to Monrovia to be near their son.
Mr. Walker is survived by his son, Donald of Monrovia; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, his parents and two sisters.
