Regina Agnes Holland, was born at Evans, Iowa, on Sept. 18, 1897, and died on Dec, 8, 1957, at the age of 60 years, two months, and 20 days.
The daughter of the late Joseph and Anna Baron Hasso, she was united in marriage to S. Ray Holland at Mt. Pleasant, Iowa, on Jan. 17, 1916. To this union four children were born: Earl, Donald, Doris and Larry. Earl, Donald and Doris preceded her in death.
She leaves to mourn her departure her husband Ray, son Larry and his wife Gail, and one granddaughter. Also surviving are five brothers, Ambrose and George Hasso of Troy, N.Y., Joseph and Michael Hasso of Lovilia, and Albert Hasso of Oskaloosa; and two sisters, Mrs. Anna Fraysur of Chicago and Mrs. Margaret Bakalar of Knoxville. Other survivors include several nieces and nephews.
Mr. and Mrs. Holland have lived in Grinnell since 1947, moving here from Brooklyn, Ia., where they operated a produce business for 20 years.
Mrs. Holland was an active member of the First Assembly of God church for 17 years and devoted many hours to the welfare of her church. She was well thought of and loved in her community, church and home.
Funeral services were conducted Dec. 11 from the Smith Funeral Home with the Rev. Ralph Houghton officiating. Music was furnished by Mr. Ed Bohstedt and Mr. and Mrs. Emil Gerard. Flower bearers were Mrs. Dorothy Austin and Mrs. Jane Reid.
Pallbearers were Ralph Allen, Chris Anderson, Charles Austin, Fred Hagenlock, John McIlrath, and Arnold Sevenbergen. Interment was in the IOOF cemetery at Brooklyn.
