Elizabeth McConnell, 83, of 902 Prince St., died Tuesday Feb. 12 at Embassy Manor in Newton.
Graveside services were conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday at Elmwood Cemetery in Mason City, with the Rev. Daniel Ogata of the First Presbyterian Church of Grinnell officiating.
Memorials in Mrs. McConnell's name may be made to Grinnell General Hospital, in care of the Smith Funeral Home.
The daughter of Thomas and Mary Westwick Glanville, she was born Oct. 25, 1901, in Mason City. She graduated from high school there.
On Aug. 20, 1923, she was married to Robert L. McConnell in Mason City. The couple lived in Mason City and Algona before moving to Grinnell in 1955.
Mrs. McConnell is survived by two children, Robert L. of Grinnell and Mary Elizabeth (Betsy) Reilly of Modesto, Calif.; and four grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband and five brothers.
