Suicide was listed as the cause of death of 61-year-old Elmer Peterson of Montezuma, according to a report made by Sheriff William Welsh today.

Peterson was found hanging in a machine shed on his farm (?) miles north of Montezuma early Friday morning. Peterson had reportedly been in ill health and despondent.
