KEVIN ERQUIST, 53

Kevin Erquist, 53, of Waterloo, passed away Monday, Feb. 27, 2012, at the Harmony House Care Center in Waterloo. Memorial services will begin at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, March 3, at the Holland-Coble Funeral Home in Montezuma. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Inurnment will be held in the Jackson Township Cemetery in Montezuma. Memorials may be directed to the Harmony House Activities Fund. Kevin Donald Erquist, son of Donald and Barbara (Peterson) Erquist was born on May 14, 1958 in Des Moines. He was a 1976 graduate of Montezuma High School. A year following his graduation, he was in a terrible car accident causing him to become a paraplegic. Kevin was residing in the Harmony House Care Center in Waterloo for the last 28 years. He absolutely loved living there and he enjoyed the people that worked there and cared for him. He enjoyed music, Cribbage, spending time at Camp Courageous, the Green Bay Packers and his coffee club.

He is survived y his mother, Barb Erquist of Grinnell; his sister, Ann (John) McAteer of Gilman; his niece, Kaitlyn McAteer of Gilman; and all of the people that cared for him at the Harmony Home Care Center.

Kevin was preceded in death by his father, Don Erquist.
