MRS. NUTTING
DIES SUNDAY

Malcom Native Had
Spent Life in County

Mrs. Josie Nutting, native of Malcom and resident of the Grinnell community throughout her lifetime, died early Sunday morning at a local hospital. She was 79 years old.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2 p.m. from James Funeral Home with Rev. John DeLong officiating. Burial will be at Ivy Hill cemetery near Malcom.

Mrs. Nutting has been hospitalized for several months and had been in ill health for a long time.

Daughter of Wallace and Sarah J. Wheeler, she was born July 24, 1875 at Malcom. She was married to Albert S. Nutting on Feb. 5, 1901 at Grinnell. They resided at 1602 Summer street.

Mr. and Mrs. Nutting celebrated their 54th wedding anniversary earlier this months with relatives at the hospital where she was confined.

Mrs. Nutting was a member of the Methodist church.

Surviving are her husband, Albert of Grinnell; a brother, Cliff W. Wheeler of Grinnell; and a number of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and two sisters.
