FORMER GRINNELLIAN
DIES IN OREGON

A former Grinnell man, Charles Mitchell, died at a hospital at Portland, Oregon last Friday. He had been hospitalized for two weeks after suffering a stroke.

Funeral services were held Tuesday at Albia, where he formerly had resided. Burial was in Oak View cemetery at Albia.

The Mitchell family came to Grinnell from Des Moines where he had been with an equipment firm. Previously he had been an automobile salesman at Albia.

From Grinnell the family moved to Arkansas before going to Portland, Ore. Mr. Mitchell, 72, was active in the Masonic Lodge here.

Surviving are his wife, Jane Holsclaw Mitchell; a son, Clarence, Jr., and a granddaughter, all of Portland.
