HOLD RITES FOR
ANNA REITZLER
MALCOM RESIDENT

Mrs. Anna Reitzler, 58, the wife of John N. Reitler, of Rte. 2, Malcom, died Thursday afternoon at an Iowa City hospital.

Requiem low mass was held Saturday morning at St. Mary's Catholic church with the Rev. Leo V. Kuebrich, pastor, officiating. The Rosary was recited Friday night at the Smith Funeral Home.

Pallbearers were John Henry, Richard King, Donald Nowotny Jr., James Reitzler, Robert Upah and Tom Varnum. Burial was in Calvary cemetery at Brooklyn.

She was the daughter of Fred and Nettie Nussbaum Crider and was born on Nov. 24th, 1907, near Brooklyn. She graduated from Brooklyn high school with the class of 1927. Following her graduation she taught rural school for two years.

On May 15, 1929, she was married to John Nicholas Reitzler at St. Patrick's Catholic church in Brooklyn. To this union were born five children: Maynard John Reitzler of Cathedral City, Calif.; Francis Edward Reitzler of Grinnell; Merle Eugene Reitzler of Rte. 2, Malcom; Mrs. Jerry (Mary Elizabeth) Collett of Washington, Iowa; and Dale Joseph Reitzler of Des Moines.

Mr. and Mrs. Reitzler, farmed near Brooklyn and Malcom and resided at the present farm location the past two years.

She was a member of St. Mary's Altar and Rosary Society and St. Mary's Catholic church in Grinnell. Also, she was a church member of the Women's Catholic Order of the Foresters.

Preceding her in death were her parents and one sister, Mrs. Lois Reitzler.

Surviving are her husband John; her five children; 11 grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Lester (Edna) King of Montezuma; and seven aunts; two uncles and many cousins.
