DIES FOLLOWING STROKE

Services for Duncan E. (Gene) Wilkerson, 86, of Searsboro, will be at noon Tuesday here at Hamilton's Funeral Home. Burial will be at Masonic Cemetery here.

Mr. Wilkerson died Saturday at Grinnell General Hospital after a paralytic stroke.

A native of Olathe, Kansas, Mr. Wilkerson had lived in Searsboro 50 years. He was employed for 44 years in the maintenance department of Northwestern Bell Telephone Co. and previously had resided in Des Moines, Cedar Rapids and Marshalltown. He was a member of Pioneer Masonic Lodge 22, Scottish Rite, Za-Ga-Zig Shrine and the Methodist Church.

Survivors are his wife, Lilly, six grandchildren, seven step-grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
