LENORE MOELLER

Lenore H. Moeller, 85, died Thursday, March 30, at the Mayflower Home Health Care Center.

Funeral services were conducted at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in Denison Chapel at the Mayflower Home, with the Rev. Raymond C. Lott, pastor of the Grinnell United Methodist Church, officiating.

Graveside services were held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Ansgar Cemetery, St. Ansgar, with the Rev. J. Bill Jenkins of the St. Ansgar United Methodist Church officiating.

Pallbearers were John Sherman, Jack Sherman, Ray Sherman, Stephan Sherman, Robert Cleveland and Richard Cleveland.

Memorials in Mrs. Moeller's name may be left at the Smith Funeral Home in Grinnell.

The daughter of LaForest and Ida Albrecht Sherman, she was a 1921 graduate of St. Ansgar High School. She later received her teacher's certificate from then Iowa State College in Ames. She taught home economics and English in three northern Iowa high schools.

She was married to Benton Moeller May 30, 1926, at St. Ansgar. Mrs. Moeller moved to the Mayflower Home in 1983. She was a life-long member of the United Methodist Church and was a member of a number of social and charitable associations, incuding the Annotawo Club in Owantonna, Minn., and the Grinnell Retired Teachers Association.

Surviving are a son, Benton G. Moeller of Heidelberg, West Germany; three grandchildren; one sister, Beulah Cleveland of Northwood; and a brother, LaForest B. Sherman of Grinnell.
