MRS. JULIA A. HARRIS

Mrs. Julia A. (Verbeck) Harris died at her residence, 432 Main St., Tuesday, January 25, aged 57 years. Her birthplace was Stanstead, P.Q., where she was married in 1868 to Henry C. Hyatt, with whom she came to Grinnell in 1873. Mr. Hyatt died in 1878 leaving his business, that of boot and shoe merchant, to Mrs. Hyatt, who conducted it successfully for several years. Those who have been her customers cherish the most pleasant memories of her kindness and efficiency in business relations. She was even more highly esteemed as a friend and neighbor. At the time of her death she was a member of the Congregational church, Grinnell. In 1892 she was married to Dr. E.H. Harris of this city. The funeral was held yesterday afternoon at 2 o'clock, conducted by Rev. E.M. Vittum.
