MRS. ELIZABETH WORRALL

Elizabeth Norton, was born in Rochester, N.Y., June 16th, 1845. While yet a child of five or six years her parents moved to Iowa, locating in Cedar county. After residing at Moscow, Iowa, the family residence was change to Atalissa, Iowa. Sept. 18th, 1862, she was united in marriage to Mr. George Worrall at Atalissa. Mr. and Mrs. Worrall left Atlissa in 1876 and went to Iowa county, residing at Williamsburg until 1902 when they went to Kirksville, Mo., where they remained two years. Three years ago they came to Grinnell.

Mrs. Worrall was the mother of six children, one of whom died in infancy. Her eldest son passed away three years ago last Oct. One son, Dr. J.E. Worrall of Leavenworth, Kansas, and three daughters Mrs. J.J. Mullin, Mrs. Chas. W. Shaul, Mrs. W.L. Hastings of Grinnell Iowa, remain together with her husband to cherish the memory of a loving wife and affectionate and devoted mother. When a mere child of eight or nine years of age she definitely committed her life to the Savior and united with the Methodist Episcopal church of which she has been a loyal and active member during all these years. Union with the church was not a mere formality with her. It meant a life the aim of which was perfect accord with the will of her Master. She enjoyed in a rare degree the privilege of the sanctuary and was absent only when sickness or family cares made it impossible for her to be present. Her communion with the Savior was constant and satisfactory. She was a good woman, true to the high calling of the Christian, setting before her children an example which could not but be an inspiration to them. With what delight she could refer to the fact that her children were all following her as she followed Christ.

Mrs. Worrall has not been in vigorous health for some years, and yet her death was sudden and unexpected. She was at church one week ago Thursday, but was taken ill on Tuesday last and answered the Father's call on Thursday evening, April 4th, 1907, aged 61 years, 9 mo. and 18 days. The funeral services were held at the residence on West street Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m., conducted by her pastor Rev. J.M. Potter a former pastor. Interment in Hazelwood.
