SUSAN ELAINE MCCULLOUGH SCHMIDT, 40

Susan Elaine McCullough Schmidt passed away October 10, 1997 at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City at the age of 40 years and eight months.

Funeral services were October 13 at Watts Funeral Home. Officiating was the Rev. Paul Stanfield of the United Church of Deep River.

Mrs. Kathleen Ramsey was the organist and selections were "I'll Fly Away," "How Great Thou Art" and "Have Thine Own Way, Lord."

Casket bearers were Keith Tish, Dennis Long, David Zimmerman, Arlo Tish, Dusty Emerson, Ed Zimmerman and Dan Harbert.

Golden Rod Cemetery was the place of interment.

The daughter of Allan and Joyce Worrall McCullough, she was born February 10, 1957 in Keokuk County. In 1975, she graduated from Tri-County High School in Thornburg. She was a member of the United Church in Deep River.

On June 20, 1975, she was united in marriage with William Schmidt at the Presbyterian Church in Gibson. To this union three children were born: Jodi Susan, Travis William and Brianne Joyce.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Bryce and Ruth Worrall and Harry and Edith McCullough.

Susan is survived by her husband, Bill and their children, Jodi, Travis and Brianne, all of Deep River; her parents, Allan and Joyce McCullough of Deep River; two brothers and their wives, Steven and Tammy McCullough of Keswick and Mark and Mary McCullough of Deep River, several nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
