MRS. MERRITT DIES IN GEORGIA

Joanne Fritz Merritt, 52, of Homerville, Ga., a native of Grinnell, died recently at a Homerville hospital.

A memorial service was conducted at the Homerville United Methodist Church, with burial at Pine Forest Cemetery there. Memorials in Mrs. Merritt's name may be made to the Homerville United Methodist Church.

The daughter of Lucille H. Fritz of Homerville and the late Lehrl A. Fritz, she was born in Grinnell. She had lived in Clinch County, Ga., for a number of years and was active in church and civic affairs.

She was a member of the Homerville United Methodist Church. She was a graduate of Iowa State University and had taught home economics at Clinch County High School until June 1981.

Mrs. Merritt was a member of the PEO Sisterhood, the Homerville Women's Club, the National Education Association, the Clinch County Association of Educators and the Vocational Teachers Association.

Survivors include her husband, Roger W. Merritt; a daughter, Martha Blalock of Brunswick, Ga.; and two brothers, Charles R. Fritz of Kellogg and Steven L. Fritz of Marshalltown.
