BARBARA SELZER

Barbara Louise Fritz Selzer, 65, a native of Grinnell, died of cancer Sunday, March 17, in Auburn, Calif.

A memorial service will be held at Bethel Church in Kellogg at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 7. Burial will be private.

She was born Feb. 6, 1937, in Grinnell. She attended elementary school at Richland No. 6 School in Jasper County and was a 1955 graduate of Grinnell High School. She also attended Iowa State University prior to her marriage to Ralph Selzer.

The family lived in Iowa, Oklahoma and North Dakota before locating in the Sacramento, Calif. area, where she resided until her death.

She worked for over 20 years in the banking industry, rising to the level of vice president. During the last few years of her career, she specialized in human resources and compensation benefits.

Surviving are one daughter, Paula Jane King of Colfax, Calif.; one son, Jeffrey Selzer of Mountain View, Calif.; two grandchildren; and three brothers, Richard Fritz of Palm Harbor, Fla., Willis of Dallas, Texas, and Gene of Houston, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
