Keith C. Moranville, 71, of St. Joseph, Mo., the father of Ronald Moranville of Malcom, died Wednesday, June 17, at Heartland Hospital West in St. Joseph.
Graveside services were conducted Saturday at Junction Township Cemetery, Grand Junction, Iowa, with burial there.
He was born Aug. 8,1920, in Grand Junction, the son of Ora Glen and Vida Caroline Nyght Moranville. He attended school in Grand Junction, graduating from high school in 1938. He enlisted in the U.S. Army in January 1939 and served in the European theater prior to his discharge in December 1944. He was in the automotive parts business in different areas of Iowa before moving to St. Joseph in 1967.
He was married to Jeanne Quirk in 1971 in Nebraska. The couple lived in St. Joseph. Mr. Moranville retired as an automotive parts manager in 1982. He was a member of the American Legion and the Moose lodge.
Surviving are his wife; his mother; four sons, Gary of Bryan, Texas, Martin of Platte City, Mo., Clifford of White City, Ore., and Ronald of Malcom; one daughter, Sheryl Van Zee of Newton; three stepsons, Randy Quirk of Gower, Mo., John Quirk of Kansas City, Mo., and Michael Quirk of Savannah, Mo.; one stepdaughter, Carla Frette of Nevada; six grandchildren; for step-grandchildren; one brother, Vance of Grand Junction; and one sister, Lillian Kelley of Perry.
He was preceded in death by his father and one grandson.
