Mrs. Flora Wetmore Taylor, aged 69, wife of Glen A. Taylor who lives just east of Grinnell, passed away Tuesday noon at her home. She had been ill for the past ten months and during that time was in the hospital for ten weeks. She is survived by her husband and two daughters, Miss Miriam Taylor who has charge of physical education for girls in the local schools and Miss Esther Taylor. The funeral will be held Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Congregational church with the Rev. Vittum in charge of the services.

Flora Wetmore was born at Iron Ridge, Wisconsin and afterwards moved with her parents to Gilman. Miss Wetmore attended the Grinnell Academy and graduated from Grinnell college in 1886. She then went to Boston where she took special musical education at Wellsley and returned to Denmark, Iowa, where she was music instructor in the Denmark academy.

She was married to Mr. Taylor, at Perry, in 1890 and they have made Grinnell their home for the past twenty-six years. Mrs. Taylor was active in the Drummond, the Historical club and the Searchlight club. She was a member of the Congregational church and was, during her good health active in many social affairs in this community. Many friends will mourn her death for she was a good and true woman who took great interest in others and in her home.

Two cousins and their families will attend the funeral. They are Lacey Patterson of Marshalltown and Mrs. Ray Sutherland of Gilman.
