VELMA TAYLOR
SERVICES HELDVelma L. Taylor, 71, of New Sharon died Aug. 27, at Skiff Memorial Hospital in Newton.
The daughter of William and Harriett Linsted Lowry, she was born Aug. 1, 1902, in Taintor, Iowa. On Sept. 22, 1925, she was married to Elgar Taylor in Rock Island, Ill.
She is survived by a daughter, Harriett Virginia Taylor of Newton, and one brother, Harry Lowry of Searsboro. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one brother, one sister, and an infant son.
Funeral services for Mrs. Taylor were held Wednesday, Aug. 29, at the Harden Funeral Home in New Sharon, with burial in the Friends Cemetery.
