DIED TUESDAY

August Lacaeyse, 61, of 715 Clay street, a longtime Brooklyn resident, was found dead late Tuesday on his farm southeast of Malcom. He apparently suffered a fatal heart attack while working at the farm.

Funeral arrangements were still pending at Bramer Funeral Home Wednesday morning.

A native of Victor, Lacaeyse at one time had an implement shop in Brooklyn, before starting farming.

Among survivors are his widow, Pauline; a son, Paul; at home; a brother, Fred of Montezuma; and three sisters, Mrs. Clara Peterson of Montezuma, Mrs. Margaret Akery and Mrs. Raymond Noble of Brooklyn.

AUGUST LACAEYSE

August Lacaeyse, son of John and Irma Herbrandt Lacaeyse, was born in Victor, on Feb. 28, 1909 and passed away suddenly while working at his farm near Brooklyn, Oct. 6.

By occupation, Mr. Lacaeyse was a farmer, his home being at 715 Clay Street in Brooklyn.

His marriage to Miss Pauline Mitchell occurred on Sept. 30, 1939 in Grinnell, and to this union was born one son, Paul John.

He was a member of the Grace United Methodist church, having taken the vows on April 19, 1946.

Surviving his death are his widow, Pauline and the son, Paul John of the home; three sisters, Mrs. Clara Peterson of Montezuma, Mrs. Margaret Akery and Mrs. Mary Noble both of Brooklyn, and one brother, Fred of Montezuma.

Preceding him in death were his parents and one brother, Bert.

Funeral services were conducted by Rev. J. Arthur Eveland, under the direction of the Bramer Funeral Home, on Oct. 9, 1970 at 2 p.m., with burial in the IOOF Cemetery.

Music was provided by Mrs. Ed Bartachek. Flower attendants were Mr. and Mrs. Horace Davidson, Mrs. Loren Douglas and Mrs. Ruth Manatt.

Casket bearers were Henry Van Ersvelde, Frank Herbrandt, August Van Renterghem, Delmar Willett, John Edelen, and Delmar Adkins.
