DOUGLAS ALAN YOUNT

Douglas Alan Yount, formerly of Grinnell, passed away at his Phoenix, Ariz., home on June 22, 2012. Doug was born on March 9, 1963, in Grinnell, the son of Phil and Mary Yount. He was a 1981 graduate of Grinnell High School and 1985 graduate of Iowa State University. Doug loved adventure; his knife and gun collections; and the Arizona weather. Doug was preceded in death by some of his dearest friends, as well as his beloved dogs, Ivan and Squeek. He is survived by his father, Phil Yount, Tigard, Ore.; his mother Mary Denton, Grinnell; his sisters, Jo Pearson, Marion, and Mary Beth Mueller, Columbia, Mo.; four nieces and one nephew. At Doug's request, there will be no service.
