Alta O. Russell, formerly of Grinnell, died in Missouri Valley, Ia., July 19, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Fred Egan.
Mrs. Russell was born in Jasper County July 29, 1881, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew McDonough.
She was married to John S. Russell in 1902 and they lived in or near Grinnell, Iowa until 1959 when they moved to Visalia, Calif.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1964, her son Wayne in 1967 and son Cleon in 1968.
She is survived by her daughter, Mrs. Fred Egan of Missouri Valley; her daughter-in-law, Mrs. Cleon Russell of Visalia, Calif.; and five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
