Joanne Routier Beasley, formerly of Grinnell, died Thursday, Dec. 11, 2008, in Midland, Texas.
A memorial service was held Dec. 16 in First Baptist Church in Del Rio, Texas, with the Rev. Jeff Johnson officiating.
The daughter of Joseph and Emily Crawford Routier, she was born Nov. 6, 1936, in Grinnell and attended Grinnell schools. In June, 1956, she was united in marriage with Archie Beasley who was stationed at the United States Air Force Base in Roswell, N.M. Following her husband's retirement at Laughlin Air Force Base in Del Rio, Texas, they continued to reside in Del Rio.
She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Archie Beasley, and four daughters, Rickie Lynn Parvin, Helen Emily McCracken, Evelyn Joline Jones and Jackie Kay Chrisley; one brother, Charles Routier of Grinnell; a half brother, Clair Schmidt of Minnesota; eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Laverne Joseph Routier.
